Study of ECG wave’s boundaries using suited projected leads based in wavelet transform spatial loops

This project intends to explore the spatial loop provided by multiple ECG leads using wavelet transform. The aim is to find and study the main direction of the changes in cardiac heart vector velocity, at different stages of the beat. The signal obtained by projecting the loop over adequate directions should provide extra insight over the cardiac phenomena, namely with respect to its timing and duration. In a first stage, the work will focus on obtaining more suited leads for boundaries delineation and follow its changes across beats. Adequate methods to choose optimized directions and study its stability will be used. The clinical meaning of the directions and its variations will be evaluated over real ECG recordings.
